My First Gingerbread House

Max the Cat was curious to see what I was making.
It must've been the yummy gingerbread smell!

Assembling the gingerbread with royal icing.

The beatiful bay window :)

I began my gingerbread house in class. I baked the pieces and brought them home with me. It took several days to decorate with royal icing and another few days to assemble. The windows on the front are made out of melted Jolly Ranchers. The railing is made out of spaghetti. It was quite challenging especially the porch and gazebo. My favorite parts are the bay windows, the 2nd floor windows and their flower boxes and Mr. Snowman.
